In 2023 show Back To Reality AKA La vida después del reality Marcela played by Margarita Ortega, a perfect mother that take care of her family and her health, and apply to a reality show where athletes compete with each others to win a contest.
As Marcela had to go away, she told her best friend Laura played by Natalia Betancurt to take care of her son Manolo played by Leonardo Angelone as he always get himself in trouble, Manolo got a crush on Laura and went to her home asking her to let him stay the night claiming that he had a fight with his father, and ended up having sex with his mother's best friend that was supposed to look after him lol.
Now in the reality show, the show faces trouble, as it loses viewers, not because it's horrible or the players are bad-looking, but because they are perfect, perfect body perfect characters, basically they are too good that they became boring, no one talk or care about them to check them out, so the show-runners came up with horrible idea of taking clips out of context to show that there's a love a story between unfaithful 45 years old wife and her young partner in the competition.
Back To Reality: the perfect show isn't perfect
I never thought I would like anything made by D###, since all the characters are either too good, or whenever they are evil, they are watered down to be kind of good. But I really enjoyed Culprits, the show is basically a heist show, which is my favorite kind of shows, my most favorite show of all time is absolutely la casa de papel.
The show starts with Joe Petrus AKA Muscle played by actor Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, who was recruited by Dianne AKA brain to make a very dangerous heist.
Afterwards, two cops try to recruit Joe Petrus to be a snitch inside their org, threatening him with imprisonment for life if he didn't cooperate, for my surprise Joe Petrus actually had balls to refuse their offer, and cover for the lovely villainess, which made me know that the show will get so intersting and not some boring cop show, what made the show even better is that the two cops were in fact recruited by the beautiful villainess to test Joe Petrus's loyalty and reliability, which means that heroes are out of the equation and it's fun time.
The show is actually one of the best shows I ever watched, it's rare nowadays that you have a show that make you feel intensity, excitement and happiness at the end, Joe Petrus was one of my favorite protagonists, the show is also revolutionary and bold, not lame and tasteless as many other shows recently, the characters aren't perfect in anyway, they aren't protected either, it's a fair game, the writing was great, all characters are unique in their own way, they aren't some cheap copies of the same character they have depth, and you will absolutely enjoy their conversations, like the part when the crew went to Dianne asking her if she's gonna apologize for putting them in deep shit, and she's like "nope".
Dianne is absolutely my favorite, she's a beautiful, cruel, cold villainess, and I really like how she make it clear that she have a moral code even tho she do bad stuff, when she was faced by the man who they stole from.
The show would be much better if not the flashback, like, there are some key events happening in the past, like life and death situation, and by knowing that such characters will survive anyways, you feel nothing, it make the scene less intense, and would be much better if it was in real time, and such intense situation would be a great ending of the episode..
Culprits: almost perfect
The cost a brilliant story about David played by Jordan Fraser-Trumble, who lost her wife Stephanie played by Nicole Pastor 10 years ago after someone assaulted her and murdered her and threw her body, then the murderer got out of prison, and with the help of Stephanie's brother Aaron played by Damon Hunter, David and Aaron manged to kidnap the killer, and put him in the car in order to torture him then kill him the way he killed Stephanie.
The movie is really intense, the writing is brilliant, the way the movie is directed make you feel the situation as if you are witnessing in real life, even beating the killer with a stick feels more intense than a gun fight in action movie, and shows you how what David fantasized for 10 years thinking it would heal his wound seems so different now it's happening.
The cost is absolutely one of my favorite thrill movies in 2022, it's an example on why heroes must die, as the only perfect character in the whole died in the first minute of it.
The cost: revenge isn't as sweet as you think!
Haita De Actiune is a Romanian cop movie about a
traffic officer who take his job seriously, too seriously. it starts with handcuffing a girl for throwing a cigarette in the street, then goes investigating a case that only get him deeper.
The movie is fun to watch, the heroes aren't the good guys in a boring way, they are fun and like friendly to the audience, the only character I was fearing it would be boring was Aurel played by Vlad Brumaru, but fortunately he was fun to watch too, like in one of the scenes he took a selfie with the bad guys in order not to be beaten up by them like his college lol.
The villains are also good especially Bubu played by Elena Chiriac, she's absolutly my favorite in the movie, I liked how she asked the hero for the phone, and her refused then when she brought the knife, he give it instantly and she spit on him, and how she manged to defeat the heroine in the first fight.
Avramescu played by Anca Dumitra was also a good evil babe, her entrance was well done, as just as the hero saw her, he was stunned by her beauty.
In one of the scenes the cops even partied with girls and even did drugs lol. which is really hilarious and make you love the characters more, make you see them as friends who you go party with, not some cops who would ask you to turn the music down.
The ending was also good, and hilarious as expected, as the good guy shot the hero by mistake while trying to save him lol. It's really refreshing to know that such good comedies still exists.
